This page and the few following have all the photos of NAVI, and a log.

Thermaltake SViking from the front. I may do
something with the front bezel, not sure
what yet. Really sharp edges on the rear; yay for gloves.

SViking from the side. Case window still covered with plastic.
Eventually, the side window is going to become this.

Athlon64 retail box CPU, Asus A8V and Mushkin 2x512.

Fortron BlueStorm PSU, optical drive, hard drive, Radeon 9550
graphics card, and Tt Xray ^_^

The parts:
I started planning this project in October once my major change was made official, and decided to go AMD over Pentium based on price/performance (also, I've used Pentiums all my life and wanted a change). My first case choice was the Xaser III, but after poking around a bit online and helping a friend with a Xaser, it seemed to me like 2x120mm case fans would be better overall than seven 80mm (mainly in terms of noise; case airflow will be discovered during build). Price was a factor as well.

11/20/04: SViking arrived. A lot of sharp edges (nothing a file can't fix) and the rear screws for the side panel are slightly misaligned, but that should fix itself eventually.

12/10/04-1/9/05: Got HDD, graphics card, mobo, cable sleeving, assorted tools and RAM cooler.

1/15/05: Optical drive and PSU arrived. The pile of parts is now pushing 40", but that's including the SViking and all original retail boxes.

1/21/2005: Memory and CPU arrived; acquired 17" TFT secondhand, works fine. Actual build will probably take place sometime next month.

2/19/05: Thermalright XP-90 is here, along with an antistatic mat (lost my previous workspace and my room now is a static ball. A humidifier has rectified that somewhat). Build itself is planned for sometime this week or next (I hope).
